CoViD19

Is it really going to end?

Today, as we are fighting the deadly coronavirus, to stay protected in this battle, concepts such as Rural vs. Urban life or Environment friendly and Social security to informal sector people came into the picture.
 COVID 19

“There is a sufficiency in the world for man’s need but not for greed.”
-Mahatma Gandhi

Covid19 has provided us with an insight to realise that we are far beyond the human civilisation. That is due to our unwanted greed, not because of need. Even our healthcare is struggling to fight against the virus.

Scientists have claimed HCQ, Plasma Therapy, and Remdesivir as medicine to rely on but not a complete success

India’s Battle

The countries having not so strong healthcare the system was left with only option to shut down their nation and prepare for the fight against the virus, and India has opted for lockdown on 24th March followed by a day Janata Curfew. Now India is in Lockdown 3.0 to protect its people.
IMF projected 1.9% Economic growth in 2020

Primarily, South Korea’s model was opted to ramp up testing during the lockdown and as testing increased, cases jumped up now to more than 55,000 with more than 2,000 deaths with a recovery rate of little above 25%.

Economic Boost

The Indian government has tried to boost the economic immunity of poor households women by providing 500 rupees for consecutive 03 months to Jan Dhan Bank accounts. And for a few kinds of loans, provided moratorium facility for 03 months, and much more direct and indirect benefit support from the economic package. And Indian states are walking alongside union government and are playing on the front foot to win the battle.

Worldwide Battle

Nonetheless, the United States and European nations have always been in the first place to fight with such a scenario, but now, nowhere is the ray of hope to protect the world and humanity. They’re struggling too, the US has been the hotspot for the virus and maximum deaths have been from the United States as of now (07-05-2020).

The geopolitical scenario will change after the battle won, and countries' status for sure will change in world politics and that would depend on the end result of the pandemic. India and other nations have an opportunity to establish themselves in the global village.

Today, world politics has an axe to grind, however, the war against COVID 19  need global cooperation as the virus and its impact taught us not only about the survival of the individual but also about unprotected population i.e. Daily wage workers, Migrant labour, and their status of literacy, healthcare and social security in developing countries such as India in the South-east Asia region.

Culture of social distancing is developing worldwide

Conclusion:

By the time we shall win the war against the virus. Covid19 will have left its impact on humanity and its preparedness to apparatus. We have to develop a habit of Social Distancing, Cleanliness, and healthy eating to live alongside Corona Virus to survive and to win the war against COVID 19.

Stay safe and Stay Home

It will take a year to manufacture the vaccine and supply it to around the world and a couple of years to have control over the virus.
This has left us with 03 important questions, I ask you,
  • ·         Were we prepared enough?
  • ·         Why developed economies with world-class healthcare infrastructure are struggling?
  • ·         Why CoVid19 poses the biggest concern for the world?

Once, Martin Luther King Jr.  Said,
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy.”
